

Katie Ward
Katie has a background in marketing, communications and events across publishing, advertising, and client-side. In her role at Beef & Lamb New Zealand Inc. she leads the marketing team for all activity across digital, social media, foodservice, events and above-the-line.
In her time at Beef + Lamb, she has launched a brand platform, ‘Good things start with New Zealand beef and lamb which has driven communications across all touchpoints including two TVC productions, a new brand ambassador, content executions, a partnership with the New Zealand Olympic Team, and a six-month campaign around the Olympics which has just been named finalist in the Youtube New Zealand Marketing Awards.
Her passion is brand marketing, particularly applying marketing science to inform how brands can be insight-driven and market-oriented in their approach to communicated with their audiences.
She has recently led a market segmentation project to map the New Zealand meat market, with a particular focus on beef and lamb. This work allows Beef + Lamb New Zealand to maximise return on investment by targeting key segments and informing brand positioning to impact these groups as effectively as possible.
